Education and Professional Accomplishments:
• Holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design, Paris, a certificate in Computer Design and a diploma in Sound Engineering (International Institute of Sound and Image, Paris).
• Beneficiary of prestigious residencies and grants, including the Europees Keramiek Werk Centrum Residency, the Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten International Residency, and Villa Olandese, Rome Italy.
• Participated in numerous exhibitions, including Sculpture by the Sea, Grey (solo show), ExpHo, Whitechapel Art Exhibition, W139, EKWC, and RABK in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
• With an artistic career spanning since 1993, Monia has also taught at the University of Western Australia, lecturing for the City of Fremantle and City of Stirling on contemporary art, and has worked as an administrative assistant at the Cultural Arts Council of Houston, Texas and the French Consulate in Houston, USA.
